Barcode Kitties are on the scene - anytime, anywhere! Barcode Kitties are always chasing “The Glitches”, a group of mice who make trouble wherever they go.
When they’re not working, Barcode Kitties live in Barcode City, a happy place where even the skyline looks like a big barcode on the horizon. Barcode Kitties have different personalities, but they always honor the barcode “code”. This means helping out even when it’s hard, and staying the best of friends forever!
This new design franchise in the kawaii style from Japanese property development company SEIKODO Corporation is a girl’s character/trend property featuring a group of cute little kitten characters with bar code whiskers. The original idea for the Barcode Kitties characters grew out of the company president’s realization that every product in the world, including the animals sold in pet shops, would have to have a bar code. This was eventually expressed through the idea of a special species of cartoon cats with bar codes as their whiskers.
The merchandising program for Barcode Kitties has already starting growing in territories like the US, Latin America and France.
