A BRAND FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG-AT-HEART GROWN-UPS. The picture book and design brand Little Pink & Brokiga is created by Stina Wirsén, one of Sweden's most renowned artists and illustrators, in cooperation with her mother Carin Wirsén. The Brokiga characters are expressive and cute without being too cutesy and cherish the right to individuality and expression of emotions. Stina Wirsén’s books often feature powerful female characters, although not necessarily tomboys – above all, the Little Pink character is based on the idea that girls can be allowed to dress like princesses and still be strong individuals.

In a fun, playful and colorful way, with a language based on rhyme and rhythm, the Little Pink & Brokiga picture books treat themes such as the alphabet, numbers and colors, positions, opposites, fear. There are currently five titles in the picture book series, and also baby board books, mini picture books and a color and activity book.
Based on the book illustrations, the design brand Brokiga has been developed for Sweden by Anna Hörling. The product line that can be found in Sweden’s major department stores, consists of apparel and furnishing, bedding and accessories for nurseries and children's rooms.
Stina Wirsén is one of Sweden's most renowned artists and illustrators. Stina graduated from Konstfack University College of Arts, Craft and Design in 1992 and lives and works in Stockholm. As former head of the illustration department at leading Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter, Wirsén has been a vital part in the revitalization of newspaper illustration and helped earning Dagens Nyheter several prestigious awards in the field of newspress illustration and design. Her own style, simple and minimalistic yet powerful and expressive, has in many ways been formed by her work with the daily press: tempo, effectiveness, clarity and poignancy. In addition to her children's book illustrations, her fashion and portrait art has gained much attention. Among other prizes, Stina has been awarded the prestigious Elsa Beskow-plaketten for her children’s book illustrations.
Anna Hörling, Stina’s sister, also a Konstfack University College of Arts, Craft and Design graduate, is today a successful product designer, with clients such as the Swedish brands Lexington and Watt & Veke. Anna has also worked as an interiors/design reporter and is currently writing a series of sewing books for the publishing house Berghs Förlag. At two occasions Anna was awarded the prestigious Excellent Swedish Design prize.
Plus Licens represents brokiga & co for merchandising and promotional rights to Little Pink & Brokiga in Europe, Russia/CIS, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Australia, and for publishing rights worldwide outside Sweden.
