Snoopy by Everhart is positioned as a high-end art program featuring vibrant images of the
Peanuts characters suitable for high-end gifts and stationery, confectionery, toys as well as "fashion-forward" apparel, accessories and home décor that will appeal to both art lovers and the
Peanuts fan. More than 200 images are available; each bursting with dazzling color, expressionistic imagination, and in-your-face proportions.
For more than 25 years, artist Tom Everhart has been closely involved with the Peanuts characters. With no background in cartooning, Tom Everhart had been asked to render drawings of the Peanuts characters for a commercial project in 1980. After closely studying the art, Tom Everhart discovered that he and Charles Schulz shared a similar line and style. Soon thereafter, a close friendship developed which continued right up until Schulz' death in February 2000.
Charles Schulz requested Everhart's collaboration on a number of special projects for United Media, both in New York and in Tokyo. Tom Everhart is the only artist authorized by Charles M. Schulz to artistically render Peanuts line art and to use the characters as painting subjects.
Everhart's paintings have been exhibited at museums all over the world, including the Louvre in Paris. In connection with the celebration of the Peanuts 50th Anniversary in 2000, a big exhibition of Everhart's art took place at Magasin du Nord in Copenhagen.
In many ways, Tom Everhart has made the Peanuts characters his own, with his distinctive, wildly expressionistic interpretations that are highly sought after by collectors. Everhart has taken the classic Peanuts gang to a new level of art - what one commentator would later dub "Expresstoonism"!
