ONE OF THIS WORLD'S most beloved films, Steven Spielberg’s 1982 block-buster, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, broke all box-office records to become an instant classic. The story of a young boy who befriends a stranded alien captured the imagination of generations, quickly establishing E.T. as one of the most popular and easily recognizable characters of all time.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of this classic Steven Spielberg movie, Universal Studios re-released E.T. in theatres and DVD in the spring of 2002. The fully restored re-release also included never-before-seen footage.

Already in its original edition, the movie grossed over $700 million worldwide, and it's regarded as the 4th highest grossing film of all time. A combination of still impressive technical effects and a heart-warming script of timeless quality has made Steven Spielberg's E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial a cross-generational classic. The film tells the story of how an extraterrestrial being - "three million light years from home" - befriends Elliot, a boy from a split and troubled family. While the government searches for the alien, a close bond is developed between Elliot and E.T. and the two friends become inseparable.
Plus Licens represents Universal for merchandising, promotional and publishing rights to E.T. in the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe.
