BASED JOINTLY on the hugely popular CAPCOM MegaMan video game series and the Shogakukan "CoroCoro" comic book line, Mega Man NT Warrior is set during the Cyber Revolution of the year 200X where all technology is linked to a central computer system. Citizens of DenTech City interface with this network using their personal "NetNavis" (Net Navigators) via their Personal Terminals (PETs). Each NetNavi possesses characteristics and traits like its owner, but also includes enhanced technological powers.
The futuristic anime-adventure series MegaMan NT Warrior follows the discoveries and exploits of fifth-grader Lan, whose NetNavi and alter ego is the blue-suited, virus fighting, virtual superhero named MegaMan. Lan and his friends download different BattleChips to change their personal NetNavis' gadgetry and defense capabilities. Only by working as a team can they thwart the evil Mr. Wily and his chaos-causing Net crime organization, World Three, who are out to take over the Net in order to wreak havoc on the world.

MegaMan was originally launched in 1987 as a video game character by CAPCOM for various Nintendo and other game consoles. The current incarnation MegaMan NT Warrior has emerged from the Battle Network game first introduced in 2001, and also comprises an animated TV series, manga comics by Ryo Takamisaki, trading cards and an expanding licensing program!
The television series, consisting of 108 commercial half-hours, was introduced in the US by ShoPro Entertainment in May 2003 on Kids WB! The merchandising program includes toys from Mattel, trading card games from Decipher, graphic novels from VIZ, apparel, home entertainment, home furnishings, role play, and of course video games.
MegaMan NT Warrior is set in the year 200X, when humanity has entered a new age - the Network Age - due to the advancement of the Internet. Each person carries his or her own PET, short for Personal Terminal, and each PET contains an artificial intelligence program called a NetNavi (or NetNavigator). While the invention of the PET and NetNavis has brought great benefits to the lives of humans around the world, computer hacking, virus spreading, and other high-tech crimes are becoming a major problem.
When graduating from the fifth grade in school, young boy Lan Hikari receives a gift from his father: a personal NetNavi whose name is MegaMan. Lan and his friends Dex, Maylu, and Yai at DenTech Academy team up with their respective NetNavis MegaMan, GutsMan, Roll, and Glide to solve problems on the Internet that are causing chaos in DenTech City. In doing so, they discover that the instigator of these mysterious crimes is an evil syndicate known as World Three.
In one battle after another, MegaMan confronts the sinister NetNavis and computer viruses of World Three. Sometimes assisted by the secret Net Agents, or by the genius NetBattler Chaud, Lan and MegaMan courageously fight evil in the cyberworld and gradually uncover World Three's true objective...
