A SERIES THAT STANDS the test of time, depicting the close community and unhurried pace of rural life, Postman Pat portrays a gentle world where the storylines illustrate the life of a close-knit community. Each episode is set in Greendale, a fun and colorful village where humor, music, adventure and imaginative story telling combine, and follows the adventures of Pat - a happy friendly postman who is not only the man who delivers the mail but a friend to all the people of Greendale.

The original Postman Pat animated series (13+13 x 15' episodes) were produced in 1981 and 1996 and sold to 65 countries worldwide. Entertainment Rights and Cosgrove Hall have now developed a brand new stop-motion television series of 96x15' episodes.

In Plus Licens territories, the new series has been sold to TVP and Minimax in Poland, Ceska in the Czech Republic and Slovak TV in Slovakia. Core target group is boys and girls 2-4 years.

Licensing activities in Plus Licens territories include Egmont Polska for story books and annuals and Ameet for coloring and activity books in Poland.

In Postman Pat's world children feel safe, there is a great sense of community and everyone works together to make sure that problems are solved and people are helped and, of course, that Pat gets his deliveries done in time. Postman Pat always has a kind word and a joke for everyone, and he is ready to help out when needed. His trusty companion is Jess, the black and white cat, who goes everywhere with him. Every day brings a new adventure, from snowboarding, to pretending to be a pirate, to managing a pop band, to scoring the winning goal in a football match and everything in between!

Their home town Greendale is a rural community. Local farms, such as Thompson Ground (a smallholding with pigs, goats and hens run by Alf and Dorothy Thompson) and Greendale Farm (a dairy and sheep farm run by Julia Pottage) lie on the outskirts of a bustling rural village. The Post Office branch on the High Street acts as an unofficial "meeting house" for the village and is run by the local postmistress, the warm and cheerful Mrs Goggins.

Plus Licens represents Entertainment Rights for licensing rights to Postman Pat in Poland, Slovakia, Latvia and the Czech Republic.
