The animated series, inspired by the storylines of the Sonic Adventure games released from 1998 and onward, consists of 78 brand new half-hour episodes and is currently seen on channels across Europe. Fox Kids/Jetix launched the series in the Nordic countries in spring 2004 and in Poland/Central Europe in September, and the series has also been seen on channels like TV2 in Norway, Kanal 5 in Sweden and Polsat in Poland.

Originally created by game designer Yuji Naka and character artist Naoto Ohshima, Sonic quickly became the iconic flagship character for the video and arcade game company Sega. The first game for Sega Genesis was released in 1991, introducing Sonic's now classic "Spin Dash" and "Spin Jump", and the energetic hedgehog had his first own comic books and television series as early as in 1993. In excess of 33 million Sonic games have been sold worldwide and Sonic has appeared in 17 different games. Sega are regularly releasing new titles.

Pan-European master toy licensee FEVA has launched a range of Sonic X toys and games across Europe, including collectible figures, plush and inflatables.

A hedgehog like no other, Sonic moves and thinks faster than the wind. Always on the lookout for high adventure, he never stays in one place too long. In the Sonic X television series, Sonic befriends the young and naive human boy Chris, who through the help and friendship of Sonic learns what it means to grow up and comes to understand himself. There's also Tails, the two-tailed fox with a passion for machinery and the utmost respect for Sonic. Sonic treats him like a younger brother and is always looking out for him. Tails also has the ability to fly by spinning his two tails as quickly as possible. There's also Amy Rose, the cheerful and energetic little hedgehog who's in love with Sonic; the wild and tough echidna Knuckles who regards Sonic as his archrival; the mystic Shadow the Hedgehog who seems to be beyond good and evil; the wannabe worldruler Dr. Eggman, romantic, feminist and robotics genius, and others.

Plus Licens represents Jetix/Vooz for merchandising and promotional rights to Sonic X in the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe.
