LOSE YOURSELF IN THE MAGICAL WORLD of Harmony and Rhapsody - two fresh new faces from Fairyland. They sing fairy songs. They dance fairy dances. They play fairy games. And they always wave their wands and disappear just before the children can see them. Joining in the fun is Elf the Fairy Cake Maker and Barnaby the Bizzy Buzzy Bee.

The Fairies is a live action magical musical television series for pre-schoolers (and everyone else who still believes). Primarily directed at girls, The Fairies also holds vast appeal to young boys, with characters such as Barnaby the Bizzy Buzzy Bee, Elf the Fairy Cake Maker and Wizzy the Wizard. In addition to the show related photography, the style guide for the property also contains a large selection of 2D animation character art, icons, borders and patterns.

Pty Ltd,

First seen in direct-to-video features in 2000 and launched in their own television series in November 2005, The Fairies have become an immense success in their native country Australia and also sold into international territories, including the UK and the Middle East with huge interest also from other partners. DVD sales in Australia have now topped 100.000 units and a music/roadshow as well as a publishing program has also been extremely successful. Licensing categories include apparel and accessories, footwear, puzzles and games, stationery, party products, bedding, melamine, houseware, bags and much more.

The TV series has so far been produced in 104 x 12 minute episodes. The largest and most elaborate children’s television set ever seen in South Australia has been constructed for the show, with the main garden of the Fairyland set built at the South Australian Film Corporation’s Hendon Studios by South Australia’s ShowTrek, with the set designed by New Zealand company WETA Workshop, famous for their work on the epic Lord of the Rings. More than $80.000 worth of costumes were hand-crafted locally for the program and designed to enable the characters to be replicated anywhere around the world.

The program is also available for locally formatted co-production, and local versions are currently being produced in Spanish and Portugese. Producer’s intention is to create three production hubs around the world to make locally formatted versions of the show, whereof one in Europe.

Plus Licens represents The Fairies for merchandising, promotional, publishing and TV & DVD rights to The Fairies in the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe.
