As Swedish crown princess Victoria and her Daniel Westling tie the knot in the Great Church of Stockholm's Old Town on June 19, one of the gifts presented to the royal couple is a Dear Daniel figurine from Hello Kitty and Sanrio. The porcelain figurine will hopefully bring good luck and happiness to the royal couple’s future home at Haga Palace outside Stockholm.

"By this gift, we want to show how much we are looking forward to the wedding of the future reigning royal couple of Sweden", says representatives from Sanrio's European office in Hamburg. Not unlike the future Prince of Sweden, Hello Kitty’s Dear Daniel is described as a sensitive boy paying special attention to his looks. In accordance with Sanrio’s motto ”Small gift, big smile”, Dear Daniel and Hello Kitty will cherish the day that crown princess Victoria and Daniel Westling get married at the Great Church (Storkyrkan) in the heart of the Old Town of Stockholm. Approx. 2.000 journalists are expected to report from the wedding, of which 40% from international media, and about 2 million people are expected to follow the royal wedding.
