The twin brothers B1 and B2 live on Cuddles Avenue, where life is always full of happy surprises. The Bananas in Pyjamas are always on the lookout for fun, and they don't have to try very hard to find it! B1 and B2 are very mischievous and love playing tricks on their friends, the Teddy Bears who live next door.
The Bananas in Pyjamas series contains a mixture of narration and dialogue, complemented with specially composed music and songs. The catchy theme tune, composed by Carey Blyton, first became a huge hit with Australian audiences on the program Play School. Each program is self-contained and features a fun adventure with the characters. The stories are full of good humor, aimed at the pre-schooler, but with a content that also adults appreciate and enjoy. The sets where the costumed characters perform are brightly coloured and highly stylized, to represent the magical world of the bananas twins B1 and B2.
In July 1992, the first episode was broadcast in Australia on ABC TV. Ten years later, the TV series was captivating 70 countries around the world with approximately 100 million viewers.
That's why Bananas are good for you!
