Global Grover is a new addition to the Sesame Workshop lineup of award-winning programming. Grover, one of Sesame Street's all-time favorite characters, visits one country per segment which features live-action films and animated segments from Sesame Street productions around the world. The episodes, derived from far-reaching places like Central America, China, Trinidad and Egypt, emphasize shared experiences that give preschoolers a glimpse into what all children have in common.

Preschoolers have boundless curiosity about people and the world around them. There is great potential for preschoolers to learn about a diverse range of cultures and traditions. Global Grover is aimed at promoting respect and appreciation for others through exposure to a rich variety of celebrations, traditions and daily routines of children around the world.

In celebrating unique aspects of other cultures, Global Grover also provides examples of common themes and experiences that are shared by children and their families and friends regardless of their background. Global Grover features a variety of themes - music, dance, art, creative movement, cooperation, families and neighbourhoods in live-action segments. Each episode encourages preschoolers to develop cultural awareness and an appreciation of differences and similarities by illustrating the humanity of children from all walks of life.

Plus Licens represents Sesame Workshop for DVD rights to Global Grover and other series from Sesame Workshop in the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe.
